Hello Friends! Today is our last day here in Maui and I wanted to get this post out as soon as possible. Especially with a few of you emailing saying you have a trip planned here in the new year! This is Chris and I’s first time in Maui so we wanted to try and see as mush as possible but make sure we got in a lot of beach time too.

Where To Stay:

The Fairmont Kea Lani – I can not say enough great things about this resort. I was so excited to stay here because to be honest I love the The Fairmont resorts so much. The grounds, the staff, the everything is top notch. When we first arrived we were greeted with a lei and kukui lei. If you saw my insta stories then you saw that the staff left me the loveliest birthday treat. I’m all about the details so this meant a lot. Next up is the view. We ended up settling right in to our ocean view room very nicely. I will say that waking up with this ocean view was simply breathtaking.

If you are looking for a place to stay that has lots of amenities for the entire family but still has things to do close by this is the place for you. Some amenities available are ukulele lessons, fish feeding at koi pond, canoeing, spa, 3 pools and more. If you are a foodie any of these on site restaraunts are delightful. Right outside the resort you will find breweries, local attractions, shopping and etc.

Where to Eat:

Ko. – This restaurant is located at the Fairmont which was convenient and very romantic. I went with an ahi salad and Chris got the shrimp kare kare. Both of these dishes were delicious.

Mamas Fish House – I heard that the sunset here was the best but it was a cloudy evening when we went and we didn’t have a chance to see it. This is a great dinner spot. p.s so many celebrities have been here!

Dukes: Our friends told us about this one and it did not disappoint. They have these scrumptious crab wontons.

Ululani’s Shaved Ice – Shaved ice need I say more? If you want you can take your shaved ice across the street to a local beach.

The Pint and Cork – Cork and Pink is located in the shops at Wailea. Perfect spot to go to after your day of shopping.

Farmacy Health Bar – Tastiest acai bowls!

Belle Surf Cafe – This cozy spot is where you will find coffee’s and handmade crepes

What To Do.

Canoeing at the Fairmont – I’m always a bit hesitant about water excursions but this one was so fun! This canoe holds room for 6 with 2 being crew. Our guides really new their stuff! They made it easy and lots of fun! I was so excited that we got to see a sea turtle. No joke I was 2 feet from it. Did you know a turtle can hold its breath under water for 2 hours but that guy decided to pop up just for us.

Maui Brewery Tour – Chris was all over this one! We started with a flight of beers and a game of connect four. If you ever wondered how Maui Brewing Co makes their tasty beer this a great place to visit. It was about a 25 min tour with about 25 minutes of wanting coconut cookies because it smell like straight coconut heaven in there. At the end there is a tasting of a few of their popular brews.

Nakalele blowhole – From our hotel to this destination it was about an hour and a half drive. There are lots of winding roads with so keep that in mind. When we got here there was this feeling of awe. Everywhere you looked was beautiful. If you want to see the heart in the rocks you might want to remember to wear appropriate footwear. It is trek down the mountain hills.

Road To Hana – Chris and I woke up early Thursday morning for this almost all day outing. We made sure to wear active wear with our bathing suits underneath just incase. This trip is on the longer side and there really is no place to stop and get food and other things so we brought food and water with us. Also make sure you down the GyPsy Guide (road to hana) app it is was the perfect tour guide!

Sunset – There are tons of places to pull over and watch the sunset but i’d have to say my favorite was at the fairmont. Chris and found these two adorondak chairs that over looked Polo beach.
