Raise your hand if you’re excited it’s FRIDAY! I know I am ready to relax and unwind! One thing that for sure makes me relax is going to the salon and getting my hair done. I’m beyond ecstatic to finally be sharing with you my experience at the Juut | Aveda Salon & Spa in Tempe, Arizona. A lot of you ask me what I get done to my hair so hopefully this post answers those questions! I went in knowing exactly what I wanted ( I made sure to do my research lol i.e Pinterest ). I knew I wanted to lessen the amount of harsh chemicals that I had been using to up keep my blonde and to overall gain a healthy blonde.
First I sat down with Stylist Emily Stadmiller who was hands down so awesome! She asked what hairstyle I was wanting to achieve I told her my hair type was more on the coarse side and that I wanted to grow out my layers. She did amazing with cutting off a ton of the ends, cleaning up the layers and giving me lots of helpful tips on how to blow dry my hair.
Next up we have my Colorist Angie Perino Nelso. She knew my overall goal was to gain a healthier looking blonde. Angie added beachey blonde hues using a bayalage technique to really give my hair that lived in result while enhancing dimension. I also have darker roots so she lightened them a bit so that when my roots started to grow out they wouldn’t be so noticeable. The blonde came out so good I alway dislike when I get a reddish tint to it.
Angie used the Aveda Smoot Infusion Nourishing Styling Creme and the ERGGo er53ci Round Brush to smooth out my curls then finished it off with Aveda Brilliant Emollient Finishing Gloss.
In between all this goodness! Emily started me off of with a neck message using the most wonderful scented oils. To repair my hair I got treated with the Botanical Therapy for hair and scalp. While this was working it’s magic *when I say magic I mean it lets just say I’d probably go in all the time for one of these* Angie gave me super relaxing hand massage! Then just like that moment in cinderella EVERYTHING fell into place. I had such a great time getting to know Angie and Emily and learning all about how to get healthy hair.
Thank you to Aveda for my new cut and color and partnering with me on this post! I highly recommend them!
