The Summer Skirt

Happy Wednesday! Did you all have a good 4th of july? I know I had a great time even though it was scorching hot. Speaking of the heat during the summer I usually wear a lot of shorts and dresses but I lately I am loving a summer skirt. Stick around to see how I style the summer skirt plus a few other options.

When I saw this skirt at Nordstrom I knew that there was no way I was leaving without it! This maxi skirt (under $100) is just what my summer wardrobe was missing. There are so many ways you can wear a skirt like this but first lets talk about how I styled it shall we? I paired this crisp, lightweight skirt with a striped off the shoulder top and a nude pair of sandals. This top is almost sold out but does come in other colors as well (shop them below).  Did you all catch that darling hem detail at the bottom of the skirt? SWOON! This entire outfit is really breathable and casual which is my summer moto.

How else to wear the summer skirt

For Summer: If you want an even more casual way to wear this skirt try wearing it with a pair of slide like these nude pearl ones. For the top I say wear that comfy tee either tucked in or side knot it like I did this top.

For Fall: Bring out those caramel ankle boots and layer that tee with a utility jacket or even a denim jacket. I think you knew that I was going say a denim jacket. Speaking of denim jackets ill be sharing a fringed one on instagram later this week. It is to die for!
