Are you 5 ft 2 or shorter? Have you ever tried to wear a dress with over the knee boots and it just looks like a onesie? Real talk I have had that dress dilemma happen to me I don’t know how many times. Today I’m sharing how to wear a lace shift dress with over the knee boots and a style hack that I use.
Let’s chat about this lace dress first before we jump into my hack because I really do love it! While this may look like a black tank dress with a lace top underneath it is actually one entire dress. The lace detailing really makes this dress pop! As if this dress couldn’t get any better it is actually on sale! Seriously though this is such pretty dress for a ton of occasions. It would be great for date night, weddings and more.
There are endless possibilities on how to wear this dress but for me I kept it polished and chic. I added my favorite comfy pair of black over the knee boots, black belt and caramel coat. I did incorporate a tiny pop of color with my red bag. These over the knee boots I rave about them all the time but they really are so comfortable! If you have been on the hunt for a pair check these out!
If you have ever worn a dress with over the knee boots and it looks like a onsie you know that it is not attractive! I have a quick fix that I love sharing! All you need is a belt that can tighten around the middle of your waist. Once you have the belt cinched around your waist gently pull up the fabric. Enough to where you can see the amount of leg you want to show. So easy right?! I love quick style hacks like this.
